The crystalline, complex flavors of our Orogeny Pinot Noir speak to the distinctive soils and microclimates of four tiny vineyards in the Russian River Valley. The sunny vintage intensified the wine's fragrant ripe blackberry, blueberry and mulberry expression, while its notes of forest loam and redwood bark reflect the terroir. Warm spice nuances, from 40 percent new French oak barrels, lift the aromas and linger on the finish. Fine tannins and beautifully balanced acidity support the silky palate.Brand Description
We pay tribute to the land with our name. A series of orogenic episodes near the Pacific Ocean formed the mountains and streams that created Green Valley's ideal growing conditions. SCENT & FLAVOR
COLOR
Deep colour, almost opaque.
NOSE
Aroma of excellent complexity, with wild bush and spicy notes like curry, pepper and ginger, red berries and black fruits mixed with a light cacao touch, the result of a good maturation, along with a slightly stony finish.
PALATE
On the palate it has a powerful attack, with a lively acidity, firm and well present tannins, wild bush and red berry notes, with an extremely long finish and great concentration.
