Brand Description

Mekhong, The Spirit of Thailand is Thailand's first branded spirits. It is named after the mighty Mekhong River, which flows along its border. Launched in 1941, it quickly became the most popular brand in Thailand. Nowadays, Mekhong is a source of pride for the Thai people. It is traditionally distilled from molasses and rice before being blended with a secret recipe of natural Thai herbs and spices. With its complex, yet smooth aroma and inviting taste, it can be enjoyed straight, with a mixer, or in cocktails, and perfectly complements spicy food.

SCENT & FLAVOR

COLOR

Deep colour, almost opaque.

NOSE

Aroma of excellent complexity, with wild bush and spicy notes like curry, pepper and ginger, red berries and black fruits mixed with a light cacao touch, the result of a good maturation, along with a slightly stony finish.

PALATE

On the palate it has a powerful attack, with a lively acidity, firm and well present tannins, wild bush and red berry notes, with an extremely long finish and great concentration.
