Meerlust Estate has been part of the Myburgh family tradition for eight generations, dating back to 1756. Long recognized for producing world-class wines, the Meerlust Estate is singularly rich in charm and history. Meerlust is situated fifteen kilometers south of Stellenbosch, with the blue crescent of False Bay just five kilometers away. The Estate is uniquely positioned for the production of wines with exceptional complexity and character. One hundred and ten hectares are planted, mainly with red varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir.NOTES OF
SCENT & FLAVOR
COLOR
Deep colour, almost opaque.
NOSE
Aroma of excellent complexity, with wild bush and spicy notes like curry, pepper and ginger, red berries and black fruits mixed with a light cacao touch, the result of a good maturation, along with a slightly stony finish.
PALATE
On the palate it has a powerful attack, with a lively acidity, firm and well present tannins, wild bush and red berry notes, with an extremely long finish and great concentration.
