Product Description

A stunning nose of sugared pineapple is surrounded by bright agave freshness and lime zest. The satin-coated liquid warms the palate. Lilac-scented lime and a wash of tangerine peel converge for a tart starkness. Mineral driven and dry, the spirit's gravitas is also palpable in its seamless finish.

Brand Description

Komos is modern revelry, defined. Combining the highest artistry in tequila-making with innovation inspired by the Mediterranean. The first step in Komos is to craft a special Blanco by roasting agave in traditional stone ovens in Tequila, Mexico. The juice is then twice distilled in copper pot stills. Our blanco is then aged in French oak white wine barrels, not in bourbon barrels like other Añejos. This is where the Mediterranean influence begins. Our already unique Añejo is then dripped through a charcoal column to remove impurities, creating a perfectly smooth, delicious Añejo Cristalino. We then place our Cristalino in Greek amphorae that have been imported to Mexico. While it rests, it is gently tumbled for 24 hours to take on oxygen, making the liquid smoother, rounder, and adding the slightest impression of sweetness. This is Komos. A one of a kind, Ultra Luxury, Añejo Cristalino, designed for its namesake, to enhance your revelry

NOTES OF

SCENT & FLAVOR

COLOR

Deep colour, almost opaque.

NOSE

Aroma of excellent complexity, with wild bush and spicy notes like curry, pepper and ginger, red berries and black fruits mixed with a light cacao touch, the result of a good maturation, along with a slightly stony finish.

PALATE

On the palate it has a powerful attack, with a lively acidity, firm and well present tannins, wild bush and red berry notes, with an extremely long finish and great concentration.

“Thanks to the characteristics and potential of the vineyards at Quinta do Seixo, it was possible to cut through the strong maturations of this year's harvest. As a result, we produced very balanced and robust wines, with aromatic notes typical of more mature years.” - Luís Sottomayor, head of Sogrape's winemaking

ORIGINS

Quinta do Seixo Vintage is a unique expression of this renowned estate, where a combination of soil, slope inclination, sun exposure and reduced amount of available water contribute to the production of intense and complex wines. The 100-year-old vines producing Port create wines full of intensity, character and freshness.
