With a title referring to the year in which the House of Hardy was founded, Legend 1863 is a vintage cognac created from a selection of eaux-de-vie from the Petite Champagne District and Borderies that are blended using traditional methods. The cognac is aged up to twelve years in toasted Limousin oak barrels.

The end result is a fine representation of the classic Hardy style with a rich bronze color, a delicate scent of dates and rose petals, and flavors of cappuccino with a smooth finish. Hardy Legend 1863 may be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in cocktails, and it makes an excellent sidecar. It comes in a unique bottle with attractive curves and the rooster emblem, the symbol of the brand and France.

Alcohol: 40% Grape: Ugni Blanc

NOTES OF

SCENT & FLAVOR

COLOR

Deep colour, almost opaque.

NOSE

Aroma of excellent complexity, with wild bush and spicy notes like curry, pepper and ginger, red berries and black fruits mixed with a light cacao touch, the result of a good maturation, along with a slightly stony finish.

PALATE

On the palate it has a powerful attack, with a lively acidity, firm and well present tannins, wild bush and red berry notes, with an extremely long finish and great concentration.

“Thanks to the characteristics and potential of the vineyards at Quinta do Seixo, it was possible to cut through the strong maturations of this year's harvest. As a result, we produced very balanced and robust wines, with aromatic notes typical of more mature years.” - Luís Sottomayor, head of Sogrape's winemaking
