Tequila has a history of being used as an elixir for the gods, but it's evolved into a popular alcohol drink for anyone with a taste for adventure.

Tequila is distilled from the agave plant and can only be made in a few parts of Mexico. There are 3 main types: Blanco, which is clear and un-aged; Anejo, which is aged for a minimum of one year; and Reposado, which means "rested", is aged between two months and a year.

To drink, take tequila straight to enjoy its mildly spicy flavor. If you're new to tequila, you can use lime (called limon in Mexico) and salt to tone down the bite.
